You don’t need a high end Mac Pro to develop applications. Take Daniel Jalkut, developer of MarsEdit:
"I do everything on a relatively low-powered MacBook. Is this constraining? A little bit. But I think it goes to show that you don’t need the fanciest Mac or the largest screen to get the job done."

There is nothing wrong to use powerful tools. Just believe you can do whatever you want with any tools.
